In recent years, with the advancement of urbanization and the improvement of residents' living standards, elevators have become an indispensable vertical transportation tool in people's production and life. China has become the country with the highest elevator production in the world, accounting for more than 60% of the global total. From 2009 to 2013, the average annual growth rate of elevator production in China reached 21.96%.
At present, China has become the country with the largest number of elevators in the world. Compared with the markets in South Korea and other places, China's future elevator ownership will reach around 8 million units, and the annual installation/renewal volume will remain at the level of 500000 units.
With the explosive growth of elevators, there has been a high incidence of elevator accidents. Specifically, the causes of elevator accidents include: illegal operations accounting for 62.7%, equipment defects accounting for 22.7%, accidents accounting for 8%, and illegal use of equipment accounting for 6.6%.
